Dried figs

The Italian Regions which mostly produce them are: Apulia, Campania and Calabria, followed by Abruzzo, Sicily and Lazio.

Dried Figs Crosses (Crocette) are a Christmas speciality, white figs are dried in the sun and opened into two parts, they are then filled with nuts, almonds and orange peel.

Dried fruits: they can have a laxative effect if you eat too many.
Dried fruits: rich in vitamins A and B, proteins and sugars, they have emollient and expectorant properties.
